UX Tornado Manifesto

It is based on the manfiesto of Bauhaus school, created by Walter Gropius in 1919 in Germany, which influenced the development of architecture, art and design
These principles are adapted to UX/UI design that intersect with our values

Principles

1. There is no boundary between UX and UI.

If you are an interface designer, you need to be able to make UI. “Good UX” is not an excuse for bad design.

2. The designer is a skilled craftsman.

Design is a craft and the designer makes a quality product without expecting inspiration. We rely on the system and knowledge, not random ideas or a good mood.

3. Form follows function.

We respect and love clear and user-friendly UX. A high-quality UI enhances the functionality of the interface, that is, it covers business goals and user needs.

4. Synthetic creation.

Interface design synthesizes such areas as psychology, sociology, marketing, graphic design, animation, gamification, etc.

5. Pure materials.

A good interface focuses the user's attention on the main functions, helps the user to achieve his goal as quickly as possible.

6. Minimalism.

Minimalism expresses the essence directly and without unnecessary fuss.

7. Emphasis on technology.

The designer must understand how the development takes place and how to achieve the implementation of functions as intended.

8. Reasonable use of resources.

The design is environmentally friendly, uses springs in the amount that is needed for the result and no more. Conscious consumption and optimization.

9. Simplicity and efficiency.

There is no need for additional decoration to make the interface even more “attractive”. It is beautiful insofar as it fulfills the function.

10. Continuous improvement.

Evolution is a simplification, not a complication. The designer is constantly experimenting and researching easier and faster methods of working.

About the Manifesto

UX Tornado Manifesto is the principles that convey our attitude to design and its place in people's modern lives. Design cannot be separated from history, society and transmits certain values.
It has been 100 years since Bauhaus School of Design was founded, but the principles on which it was based and supported by its actions remain relevant today, especially for those areas where products and services are created from scratch.
The modern world is much faster and more dynamic, many products exist only in digital, but both modern design and the one that existed 100 years ago equally affect people's experiences, that is, their impressions and feelings. The concept remained the same, only the form changed.
UI/UX design is a fairly young field, but it has already formed a worldview and a style of thinking, according to which it is easy to see a real designer.
